Mochacho’s review

We went to Mochacho’s in greenstone mall and we decided to try their food for the first time. We had chicken burgers and chips. There food was incredible. The burgers were cooked just right and there chips were crispy with the right amount of spice.

We put together the below video of our experience.

Hirsch’s Cooking Demo

On the 29th of November 2017 I had the honor and privilege of attending the launch of the Whirlpool Jetchef product at the Hirsch’s Homestore in Four ways. Where the held a cooking demo hosted by the Whirlpool brand ambassador and owner of Blackcurrant events and Catering Chef Lebo Mpuong. The event was an all round Success, in my opinion as it had amazing food that was prepared by Chef Lebo by using the Jetchef. The food was better than I imagined in every way possible. The event itself was well thought out and the staff were very friendly.

The Jetchef Product is new to the whirlpool range and has already made an impression on everyone including me due to its convenience. Whirlpool also has a range of other diverse products which makes it even more brilliant and a must have as they are all just as easy to use and convenient I had such an amazing time and I hope I can go to their next demo in the near future.

I have included one of the recipes made below.

Trying to eat Healthier

Who does not want to try and eat a bit healthier these days. My mom and I are not very good at eating healthy especially because junk food is cheaper but we are challenging ourselves to start.

Puff Pastry Pies with Cabbage Recipe

One of the new things we like to do is make our own pies and each week we try new fillings. Last week we made the puff pastry pies with cabbage. We got the recipe from an app called unsweet baking recipes.

Ingredients
400g Cabbage
150g Onions
Salt to taste
500g Dough

Cooking time 30 minutes

Preparation

1. Mince the onion
2. Shred the cabbage
3. Fry the onion in vegetable oil
4. Add the cabbage and broil until cabbage is tender
5. Roll out the dough, cut into squares and put the stuffing in
6. Blind pie
7. Lay a baking tray with baking paper or grease it.
8. Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or golden brown.

We no longer buy store bought pies. We have come really addicted to making our own and coming up with new ideas.

One of the things we do to make the cooking go quicker is too buy already chopped ingredients e.g onion,

We will definitely have this one again.
